These terms govern your use of the Alty website at alty.one and the Alty platform, both provided by TWC Tec (ABN 69 509 502 107) ("we", "us"). By using either, you agree to them. If you are agreeing on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind it.
Where we have a signed agreement or order form with your organisation, that agreement prevails over these terms to the extent of any inconsistency.
1. The service
Alty is a multi-tenant business platform. An organisation is provisioned its own instance, and invites its own members to it. We provide the platform; the organisation decides who may use it, what data goes into it, and what it is used for.
Alty is under active development. Features may be added, changed or withdrawn. We will give reasonable notice before removing a feature your organisation depends on.
2. Accounts and access
- You must give accurate account information and keep it current.
- You are responsible for activity under your account. Sign-in links and sessions are personal to you — do not share them.
- Tell us promptly at support@alty.one if you believe your account has been compromised.
- Your organisation's administrators can create, suspend and remove accounts on their instance, and can see the data their members enter into it.
3. Acceptable use
You must not:
- break the law, or infringe anyone's rights, using Alty;
- upload malware, or content that is unlawful, defamatory or harassing;
- attempt to access another organisation's instance or data, or any part of the system you are not authorised to reach;
- probe, scan or load-test the service without our written permission, or circumvent any rate limit, quota or access control;
- resell, sublicense or provide the service to a third party except as your own organisation's use permits;
- reverse engineer the service, except to the extent that restriction is unenforceable by law.
Security research is welcome, but tell us first — email support@alty.one before testing anything.
4. Your data
You, or your organisation, own the data you put into Alty. You grant us the limited licence needed to host, transmit, back up and display it in order to provide the service, and to do so through the providers listed in our Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for having the right to put that data into Alty, and for its accuracy and lawfulness. We handle personal information as set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
We take backups as part of operating the service, but they are a disaster-recovery measure for us, not a substitute for your own records. Export anything you cannot afford to lose.
5. Fees
Fees, billing cycle and any trial period are as set out in your order form or as displayed when you subscribe. Fees are in Australian dollars and exclusive of GST unless stated otherwise. We may change pricing with at least 30 days' notice, effective from your next billing period. Fees already paid are non-refundable except where the Australian Consumer Law requires otherwise.
6. Availability and support
We aim to keep Alty available and reliable, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance will be notified where practical. Unless a separate service level agreement applies to your organisation, the service is provided without a committed uptime figure.

7. Third-party services
Alty can connect to services you already use, such as Microsoft 365, Google or Xero. Those connections are made at your direction and are governed by your agreement with that provider. We are not responsible for their availability, their changes, or what they do with data you authorise them to receive.
8. Suspension and termination
You may stop using Alty at any time; your organisation may cancel its subscription in accordance with its order form. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these terms, if fees are unpaid, or if continued access poses a security or legal risk — with notice where practical, and immediately where it is not.
On termination you can request an export of your data within 30 days. After that, data is deleted in accordance with the retention periods in the Privacy Policy.
9. Intellectual property
The Alty platform, its software, design and branding remain our property or that of our licensors. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of them. Feedback you send us about the service may be used freely and without obligation, but we will not identify you as its source without asking.
10. Warranties and liability
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where our liability for failing to meet a consumer guarantee can be limited, it is limited at our option to resupplying the service or paying the cost of having it resupplied.
Subject to that, the service is provided "as is"; we exclude all other warranties to the extent permitted by law; we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profits, revenue or data; and our total liability arising out of or in connection with these terms is capped at the fees paid by your organisation for the service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The current version is always at alty.one/terms. Material changes will be notified by email or in the platform at least 30 days before they take effect, and continued use after that date means you accept them.
12. General
These terms are governed by the laws of Tasmania, Australia, and you and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them to a successor of our business.
